About the Conference

On June 10-12 2018, Copenhagen Business School (CBS) will host the 6th biennial International Symposium on Cross-Sector Social Interactions (CSSI 2018). The event will bring together researchers and practitioners to understand how business, government, and civil society can interact to better address societal challenges such as climate change, immigration , social exclusion, and poverty. The event is a meeting point for the fast-growing research community on cross-sector interaction and collaboration.

The theme of CSSI 2018 will be “Collaborative Societal Governance: Orchestrating Cross-Sector Social Partnerships for Social Welfare.” At the event, academics and practitioners will present and discuss new and innovative ideas for organizing and managing cross-sector collaboration. Emphasis is on current and future approaches, systems and tools for governing cross-sector collaboration and their societal impacts.

June 10, 2018

The Doctoral Consortium organizes young scholars which are interested in cross-sector partnerships, collaboration, and networks promoting the social good. The workshop will provide an opportunity for doctoral students engage with other scholars interested in CSSI and learn from faculty mentors who have been researching, teaching, and publishing on CSSI topics.

In order to be enrolled in the Doctoral Consortium, students should submit a paper based on their PhD thesis. See Call for Abstracts/papers.

Doctoral students interested in the consortium should submit a short paper (max. 3,000 words) to the conference organizers using the online submission tool before February 28, 2018 (see ‘Call for Papers’).
