Special Issue in Business & Society

A Special Issue entitled Collaborative Cross-Sector Business Models for Sustainability is linked to the CSSI 2018 event. The purpose of this special issue is to explore the role of cross-sector collaboration and partnerships for new and potentially sustainable business models and sharing platforms. The special issue will be published by the leading academic journal, Business & Society. Read the full call text here: http://journals.sagepub.com/pb-assets/cmscontent/BAS/Cross-sectorSpecialIssueCFP.pdf

A Special Issue Workshop facilitated by the Special Issue editors will be held in relation to CSSI2018. Here, authors will present and discuss their papers during the workshop and to receive feedback for further improvement of their manuscripts. Acceptance for presentation at the workshop does not guarantee acceptance of the paper for publication in Business & Society.

To be considered for the workshop, authors will need to submit a short paper (minimum 10 double spaced pages, excluding references and exhibits) or a full paper to the special issue editors by April 16, 2018. Note that submission of a short or full paper to the workshop is not a precondition for submission of a full paper to the Special Issue.

Symposium in Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly (NVSQ)

We are proud to invite paper submissions for a forthcoming symposium in NVSQ entitled, Collaborative Societal Governance: Orchestrating Cross-Sector Social Partnerships for Social Welfare.’ The aim of the Call is to link types of collaborative societal governance with social welfare outcomes in order to uncover logics, pathways and patterns of governance mechanisms that lead to outcomes and impacts that can inform theory and practice. Furthermore, it aims to prompt analysis of the implications of collaborative societal governance for policy making, social issue solutions and initiation of new types of governance. With this call, we hope to open-up collaborative societal governance as a new multi-disciplinary area of research by inviting contributions on the nexus of public administration, social policy, management (nonprofit and voluntary, environmental, resources) and sociology.

The Symposium in the NVSQ journal is linked to the 6th biennial International Symposium on Cross-Sector Social Interactions (CSSI 2018). Interested contributors to the CSSI 2018 event should submit an extended abstract before February 28, 2018. The deadline for submissions to the symposium in NVSQ is October 1, 2018. The symposium in NVSQ will also consider papers that have not been presented at the CSSI 2018 Symposium but are addressing the theme of the CfPs. All submissions will be subject to double-blind peer review.
